The Bible is God’s perfect guide for life and growth. When we consider the pages of the Bible, something amazing happens. We connect with the God of the universe and can begin to see the way He sees our world. Over time, we experience that the mess we've made of our life is becoming less messy. The Bible says it this way, "Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. "If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you."(John 8:31-32, The Message)
The Bible is a book unlike any other. Forty or so authors (with God's involvement) over fifteen hundred years put together a miraculously consistent set of ideas and stories. They can be scrutinized and checked. More than that, it is a dependable and applicable book of life for us. Learning principles and truths is very important, but coming close to God personally through the Bible is our aim.
Relating with God fosters growth and change. We've found that four components work together in this process of growth: an individual relationship with God, relationships with God's people, God's Word (the Bible) and time. For that reason, we always consider a portion of the Bible in our Worship services and study in Sunday School, Discipleship or Investigative classes. We also gather together during the week. The makeup of our groups varies, but you can find a group to study with nearly any night of the week.
